Miss England models beautiful bridal gowns and evening wear photographed at the Last Drop Village by Wedding Photographer

The Last Drop Village & Hotel sits on the edge of the West Pennine Moors and boasting stunning views over Bolton. It is used for many special occasions from Weddings to Proms and also the first edition of Britain’s Junior Miss next year.

The History & Origins of The Last Drop Village

The Last Drop Village as it is seen today was originally converted from a group of derelict 17th century farm buildings known as “Orrell Fold”. The name of “Orrell” dates back far beyond modern records, but it is generally believed that the Orrell family held the Manor of Turton from circa 1420, when the Lord of the Manor, John de Torbock, died and was succeeded by William Orrell. The title was then passed down through successive generations of the Orrell family, all of whom resided at Turton Tower.

Mon Cheri Gowns by Just Boutique

Miss England, Elizabeth Grant only days before she jetted off to Washington for the Miss World competition took time out to model her fantastic collection of Mon Cheri Dresses she would only a week later be strutting her stuff in on the Miss World Stage!

The backdrop of the lovely classic Lancashire shopping village and wedding venue made the location for this photoshoot. Along with the fantastic views out across the fields the stone buildings and vintage facias of the buildings work perfectly to frame images and create some stunning imagery.

As the light was dropping we used a series on off camera flashes, softboxes and flash modifiers to light the scenes from the front and backlighting Elizabeth.

We started the day near the bridal preparation suites and hotel rooms using the balcony and stone features for the shoot. Afterwards we headed inside in the ceremony rooms for some more dramatic imagery.
